Welcome to the Niven house. My dogs think I’m crazy, now you will too. I find myself doing weird things to keep everyone’s spirits up during this #QuarantineLife, just so we don’t become globs of jello from sitting on the couch watching TV. Can you relate? One of the most fun things is when my grandkids are here. We play Legos, Jenga, or Candyland. Or maybe we’ll color or watch a movie. But my rule is that once every hour we have to stop and do a fast and furious family dance in the living room. River is our DJ and almost always his go-to song is asking Alexa to play “Barracuda” as loud as possible. We sing at the top of our lungs, dance, play air guitar and get crazy. Even the 2 year-old joins in playing air drums. (The kid’s got some mad moves already.)
This is definitely one of the positives that I’ll be keeping when life goes back to normal, whenever that happens. What fun things are you doing to keep your family’s spirits up during this time? Are you starting any new traditions too?
