Rest in peace, John Lewis

RIP John Lewis. God bless you on your next mighty march in Heaven, which has gained a great Warrior Angel. You have more than honored your country and you have earned your rest, but we mourn your loss greatly. It feels like pieces of our hearts and souls have passed away with you. I wish you could have seen your dreams come true in your lifetime. But because you taught us well, we will continue to march forward in your honor. You showed us how one person can make a difference, and when thousands come together for the greater good, the conscience of a nation can be changed. We promise that when we see wrongs we will stand up and cause “good trouble” until they are righted. And, as you also taught us, we will do it through peaceful and loving actions instead of hate. We will vote, we will speak truth to power, and we will not give up until it is done. Thank you for your brave actions and words of hope and optimism, they will continue to show us the way. We hope to make you proud.
