It’s Be Kind To Animals week! So please give your pets a hug and an extra treat from me. And if you’re looking for a new family member, please adopt – don’t shop from a breeder. Your local shelters and rescue groups have perfect, wonderful animals just waiting for you to become their forever family. You can find perfect, pure bred dogs, cats and other animals in any size or kind or mix.
Plus rescued animals are so grateful to you, because they remember what it was like when they were scared and alone in a cage – with the clock ticking towards euthenasia – until someone finally stepped up to save them. Imagine all those little faces looking out from their bleak rows of cages, hoping against hope that today will be their lucky day… that someone will stop in front of their cage and say “that’s the one I want.”
When you adopt a dog or a cat or other animal you will be gaining so much more than what you will be giving them. Yes, you will be rescuing them… but they will rescue you right back.
