Welcome to the Superwoman Video Challenge! In my video I share something very personal with you, my own Personal Bill of Rights. These are things that matter so much to me, and I hereby claim them for myself, my family and for the next generations.
After you watch my video, I ask you to create and post your own Personal Bill of Rights video too. It’s easy, check it out here: http://www.superwomancampaign.org/i-am-a-superwoman-video-…/
Your “Personal Bill of Rights” is a statement made by you listing what you believe to be YOUR PERSONAL rights. Simply start with the words… “I have the right to…” and finish the sentence. For example: I have the right to say “no” to requests or demands I can’t meet. I have the right to express all of MY feelings, positive or negative. I have the right to change MY mind. I have the right to make mistakes and not have to be perfect. I have the right to have an opinion. I have the right to not be hit or abused. Etc.
Your video can be any length. Just include whatever is important to you. Why not get your kids involved too? What a powerful lesson you will be giving them as you discuss what’s important to them and then have them state and claim their rights!
Once you’ve recorded your video, please post it on FB and challenge your family and friends to do the same. Be sure to use the hashtags #NowItsUp2Me #IAmaSuperwoman and #PersonalBillOfRights.
Why are we doing this? First, it’s to honor and celebrate the five brave women who came together over a pot of tea and started the Equal Rights Movement 170 years ago. At that time here in the USA women couldn’t vote, own property or get an education. We have come so far, but we have much farther to go. Now it’s up to us to pay it forward.
So… now it’s up to you! And by the way, this challenge is not just for women, it’s for all genders, races, religions, beliefs. It’s bipartisan and it’s global. By empowering ourselves, we support and inspire each other. Now is the time to show that LOVE not hate will get us to the finish line. We can and we WILL change this world together, one heart at a time. ![]()
