“Here’s a quote I live by: “”Be quiet & simple in your life, so you can be violent & original in your work.”” No drama is allowed in my life except what I put on-screen as an actress. Why? It takes discipline and a quiet spirit to plan for, and accomplish, great things. It took me a long time to get here. I used to get so caught up in everyone’s problems, including my own, I’d become overwhelmed and paralyzed. But in a way, it was safe. It gave me an “”out”” so I could take a detour, take the day off, and immerse myself in the crisis.
You have greatness within you! I know you’ve felt it, when you’re on track and in the zone and everything is flowing. It’s an incredible high! But it takes focus to stay there and see it through. It’s easy to veer off course when life intervenes. That whole “Fear of Success” thing is real. We create chaos and turmoil to let ourselves off the hook. That emotional rollercoaster can be addicting and is a great excuse. We feel busy but we’re only treading water and putting out fires. Don’t fool yourself or mistake “frenzy”” for action. When you feel the adrenalin rush, stop and think. Am I on or off track? Will it take me toward my goal or away from it?
Every moment you have a choice. Choose the one that empowers you. Try it today. You know all those things and people in your life that help keep you in turmoil? Bless and release them. Clear your space, clear your head, and go make yourself proud.
