 
My logo and inspirations for the
Barbara Niven Collection...
I have always used certain words and images to
inspire me, to keep me fired up! Words can have a
profound effect on us, both good and bad. The right ones
give us strength, encouragement, inspiration and so much
more. It's vital to cut out any negativity and surround
ourselves with only positive affirmations!
In
working to create the Barbara Niven Collection with
Shadoeworks®, we wanted to set a tone of inspiration.
We wanted something beautiful but simple. It had to embody
the fierce passion of a Warrior who never gives up until the
battle is won. When we saw the four Chinese characters
below which mean Realize (Live) Your Dreams!
we knew we'd hit it right...and they became the
foundation that we worked from. They empower me -- and I
hope they do the same for you!
These four Chinese characters stand for Realize
(Live) Your
Dreams!
In Chinese there is no character for Live, but to fit
the "true" meaning
of the phrase the word Realize
takes its place.
The third character on its own represents the word Dream.
We use it in the
Barbara Niven logo and lots of other places. (It
would make a great tattoo!)
We are planning an entire line around these Chinese
characters - including Wear Your Passion! jewelry
and clothing, and things like candles and stationery that will
help you design your own creative environment. I hope they
help inspire you to be a Warrior too, as they do me. Use
them and wear them as you go out and make your own dreams come
true! And remember, don't give up five minutes
before the miracle!

Here's why...
Earth represents the foundation and essence of what you would build your dreams
from. The ability, the talent, and skill to go after your dream.
All the things that you need to sustain you on your path.
Wind represents flexibility, being able to adapt and learn to become much
more than you currently are. Being able to impact things around you
in positive ways in order to help you go for your dreams.
Fire represents the passion in your heart and soul for being
what you were born to be. It is also the flame that feeds the
drive and need to reach for your dreams.
The Barbara Niven Collection features a Live Your Dreams!
Journal. It's a blank journal for you to jot down anything to do with
you going for your dreams. I have several - I use one to
take notes in acting class, and keep another in my purse for my
daily battle plans and to-do lists. Each time I see the
cover, the message fires me up! Thank you
